The Curse of Mount Clifton Manor will be a gothic horror escape room in Exeter, and the next chapter in the story of a family that should never be forgotten.

Set in 1848, this is not a room built on cheap thrills or sudden shocks. It is a story of grief, darkness, and a deal made long ago that cannot easily be undone. Five distinct chapters. A family in need of saving.

 The Story

Mount Clifton Manor has been silent for many years. In 1848, Lord Albert Clifton was found dead under circumstances the church was quick to dismiss. His family, a wife, and two  children, simply vanished. Sent to recover Albert’s diary and establish the fate of the Cliftons, your investigation begins in the cold of the undercroft. What you find there will lead you deeper into the manor, and deeper into a darkness that has been waiting a very long time for someone to find it.

Please note that this story contains topics that may not be suitable to some with a nervous disposition. The room contains dark environments and jump scares. We do not recommend this room for Children under 12 years old but allow all ages at parents discretion.  Please call ahead if you have any concerns.

Team Size

Teams of 2-6 People are required for this experience. We require that team members aged 15 and under are accompanied by a participating adult.

Duration

This experience is 60 minutes long. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your session for briefing and to enable a comfortable start.

Difficulty - 3/5

This room features a good mix of puzzles to prove a challenge! We’re always on hand however to lend a helping hand to complete the story!

Accessibility

We can provide a less scary version for those for a nervous disposition. This room includes captions and larger print. Please call ahead if you have and additional concerns so we can do our best to assist.
