Prodigy Escapes is located close to Exeter city centre, making it easy to combine your escape room experience with food, drinks or further celebrations afterwards. Every team also receives a group photo at the end of their game as a keepsake from the day.

Escape Rooms Bring Everyone Together
Escape rooms are the perfect way to bring groups together. With everyone contributing towards objectives and challenges in the room, nothing quite matches the feeling of working as a team to achieve a shared goal. Sixty minutes in our escape rooms delivers exciting, immersive experiences that are sure to leave lasting memories.
- Each room accommodates between two and six people

What Makes Our Escape Rooms Different
Our escape rooms are not free play spaces or activity centres. Each room is a linear experience where puzzles are solved in sequence and are closely tied to the story being told.
This structure creates immersion, tension and excitement, but it also relies on cooperation and communication. Players are encouraged to share ideas, take turns and work together as the narrative progresses.
Groups made up mostly of younger children can sometimes find this format challenging. Excitement levels are naturally high, but this can lead to competition for attention or frustration if everyone wants to be the one solving each puzzle. When this happens, it can impact the overall group dynamic and enjoyment.
Our aim is always to create magical moments, not disappointment.
Recommended Ages and Group Sizes
To help you get the most from your visit, we recommend the following when booking a birthday party or special event:
- Escape rooms are best suited to ages twelve and up.
- Any group that includes children under the age of 16 must have at least one adult aged 18 or over taking part in the experience.
- Younger players benefit greatly from adults taking part alongside them.
- Smaller groups allow everyone to remain involved throughout the experience.
- Our rooms are designed for a maximum of six players per room.
These recommendations are not about limiting who can play. They exist to ensure your group enjoys the experience in the way it was designed.
Larger Groups and Multiple Room Bookings
If you are organising a larger celebration, we are very happy to help. The best way to accommodate bigger groups is by booking multiple rooms at the same time.
This allows each group to enjoy a complete and uninterrupted experience without splitting attention or missing key moments.
Once all games are complete, groups can come back together to continue their celebrations elsewhere in Exeter.

“Had an amazing time here doing the haunting of mount Clifton manor plus mission impawsible for birthdays. Staff are really friendly and helpful so create a comfortable environment during the experience, especially as you don’t have to be completely locked in the room for an hour. The rooms themselves are really well thought out with all the puzzles plus I loved all the cat puns in mission impawsible. I plan on doing the lost temple with friends in the future :)”
